What about Stacey?

I'm trying to figure out a way to get Hot Tubbin' by Ashkon on my show...be sure to listen for it. It will most likely be a 'cold open'. Can you have cold opens on the Radio? Ya da ya mean?

Instead of writing arguing for or against Richard, Duke of Gloucester being a tragic or anti hero instead of a pure villain. I spent my day listening to old episodes of Jordan, Jesse, Go! and Glutton for Punishment on the Food Network. Also apparently Tele Miracle is still a thing, that is in fact still popular. I always remember the female support hosts that fill in whenever Bob is off being resurrected by a series of doctors and magicians, being incredibly horrid. The ones with cowboy hats and 'trendy' hair cuts are especially insufferable.

Did you know that red wine champaign is a thing? This is easily the classiest thing imaginable.

I recently watched Margot at the Wedding the newest movie from Noah Baumbach. If you're not familiar with his work (co-writing The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and writing and directing The Squid and the Whale, among others) I suggest checking out what he's done. This is of course you're a fan of naked, dark, character based humour and some of the most uncomfortable scenes you've ever seen on film. Margot at the Wedding is definitely and distinctly a second movie. He made his mark and defined exactly what he likes to do with The Squid and The Whale and he seems to be holding onto that. I think it was executed and presented better, more polished. The acting was superb and Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Jason Leigh played excellently off of each other. I was worried about Jack Black, but there was no Jack Blacking around he stepped up the role and made it his without going over board. There might not have been Jeff Daniels with a beard and no Laura Linney, but outstanding acting. I think it warrants another watching soon to absorb everything. Because like most things I like, the characters are fully developed from the get go and you're thrown into the thick of things. I almost find it hard to watch those movies where they take you by the hand and say this is this and that is that. But they try and hide and those conventions are become so tired and worn out. The only scenarios like that that I've enjoyed were The Magnificent Ambersons and The Royal Tannenbaums. Wes Anderson said he used The Magnificent Ambersons as inspiration. Which you have to admit, is rather complex on both accounts.

This is what I needed, get the creative juices flowing.

Oh yea, check out the Grand Archives, they are fantastic and have released one of my favourite albums so far this year (there have been a suprising amount, that link is for a full download of the album). And if there are things you think should be / want to hear played on my show, tell me.

And quick run down of my favourite shows:
1. Final Fantasy in 2006
2. Feist at the 2006 Folk Festival
3. Final Fantasy in 2007
4. Matt Mays in 2007
5. Holy Fuck in 2007

I'm sure that if I had been able to see Do Make Say Think, The New Pornographers, Wolf Parade, Stars in February of 2006 and others that I for some reason missed, they would probably be right up there.
