Just another diamond day...

I recently came across Vashti Bunyan who is a delightful folk lady from the 60's. She was apparently considered the British female counterpart to Bob Dylan and was friends with Nick Drake. Anyways.

Today has been a good day. I got to sleep in, although I will probably regret this later, it was nice. After sleeping in I got to talk to a friend from the internet who I never get to chat with and we talked about Shakespeare and vampires. During the conversation I got a call from HMV and after some things and stuff I have an interview tomorrow at three! It's only for a temp position, but they usually get staff mainly through hiring a lot of people for Christmas and then keeping the good ones. I plan to wow them with my awesomeness and music knowledge and hopefully have a job after Christmas, of course assuming I get the first one. So that was the high point but other good things were: My sister's friends were over last night (I told a holocaust joke that I was apparently really funny so bonus points pour moi) and they bought and subsequently left Lucky Charms here! That was a good breakfast/lunch. Then I found out Library Voices and Woodpigeon are playing here in November. After that I got my hair cut. I love having my hair cut. I've been going to the same person for years and we get a long. Also, she is very pretty and likes the same music and things as me, and I convinced her she should watch Dr. Horrible. Anyways, I think it's a good hair cut. So here I am. writting a blog about things in an attempt to not do the homework I need to. I have to put together a presentation about the Dalai Lama before tomorrow. I have not started. And I have a Personality midterm tomorrow. But Fembots is tomorrow and possibly a job, so it all kind of works out, yes?

Also! Another internet friend is possibly going to jam/hang out with the band Why?! This is very exciting business.

Anyways, I think for the next while, my title box things will be classic works. SO. This is The Ghost of Banquo by Theodore Chasseriau.

Congrats on the interview!

Guess what - Library Voices and Woodpigeon are playing on my birthday. So I'm thinking maybe I'll go do that, and then wait for the family to clear out of my house, and then go back and get ready to go out. I know this sounds a bit counterproductive but I think I'll feel like a girly loser if I get all bar-ed up and then go to the Exchange for a folky show. Is this unfounded? Whatever. Maybe, because it's my birthday, I won't give a crap.
